Why the blog?
I've seen several facebook friends have success with Beachbody programs, mostly 21 day fix. I too jumped on the 21 day fix wagon and my own success losing 6lbs in my first round, but seeing the biggest changes in the way my clothes fit! I was so pumped about round 2, but life got in the way and I found it difficult to fit the workouts and eating plan with travel, graduation and moving. Of course I could have been more proactive, but I didn't have room in my suitcase for another pair of shoes let alone a set of heavy and light weights! ;)
Then came cize! A forever lover of dance, I was instantly intrigued. BUT can I really lose weight and get in shape dancing? Let's see!!! At least this is equipment-free for my last few weeks of moving and travel!

In the cize box is the work-out DVD's, a calendar for beginner vs advanced schedule of work-outs and an eating plan similar to the 21 day fix. It doesn't come with the containers so you's have to get those separately if you haven't already done the 21 day fix. A quick glance at the meal plan- looks good! And easy! I love the 21 day fix and recently bought the cookbook as well, but sometimes I just want something easy to throw together versus cook and I feel like the cize plan gave me some good ideas about wraps, salads, easy meals, oatmeals and egg scrambles/omelets! I'll let you know more about that later!
Day 1: Crazy 8's
This is the 1st work-out and its about 30min. The instructions say if this goes well for you, you can do the advanced calendar, but if it's tough, stick with the beginner catalog. I was so excited my mom wanted to try this with me! We had a lot of fun! It went by really fast. There's a timer in the bottom righthand corner of the screen and I remember looking 4min in and being concerned, but then I didn't really note the clock again til halfway through. A good sign! Overall this one was fun, I felt my thighs working and I loved the idea of learning a dance and then doing the dance to a song you know at the end. I worked up a sweat and felt tired at the end. I thought I did pretty well so I thought I'd try out the advanced calendar. This means, I try a new dance tomorrow. If you stick with beginner, you do the same dance every day for a week. After the work-out, you can choose to do it again or there is an option to do the cooldown. I did the cooldown- not much stretching, but probably good to do at the end.
