Welcome to my 1st blog! I started this blog to document my cize experience. Cize is a new Beachbody exercise program based on dancing combined with the meal plan from 21 day fix (another Beachbody program). I have done one round of 21 day fix and lost 6 lbs, but more notable was the inches! Unfortunately due to travel and moving, I fell off the 21 day fix wagon! Cize was appealing to me as I am a former dancer and the routines require no equipment. I also signed up to be a coach...mostly for the shakeology discount (a yummy chocolate protein shake also by beachbody) but I'd love to help out others, hence the blog! After seeing my Facebook newsfeed blow up with Beachbody coaches, I became curious, but incredibly skeptical! I'm loving cize so far, but can I really see the success that so many others have? The only way I previously have been successful with slimming down and getting healthy was when I trained for the NYC marathon in 2013...and I want that back! Hoping without running another one! Time will tell! This is my skeptical, but curious experience with Cize, 21 Day Fix, Beachbody, and Shakeology!

Day 2: You got this!!!




Today was my 2nd day of cize!  I'll admit, I'm not sticking with the meal plan right now, but one step at a time right?  My lower half is sore today- good!  It's working!  Mom tried day 2 as well. Today's work-out really reminded of me of hip-hop class!  I loved it.  Shaun T goes through each movement step by step and then ties them together.  You repeat the entire dance after adding 1-2 moves so the entire dance gets committed to memory.  There were some more complex moves that tripped me up for sure!  This is great though!  If it's not too easy, I'll definitely keep coming back and since even in the advanced program you repeat the work-outs, I'm excited to master this one.  Yesterday's dance was to "Hands in the Air" by Timbaland and today's was to "Treasure" by Bruno Mars.  The moves really went to the music and it was so fun to see how it all came together at the end!  I only wish we could have done it full-out a few more times!  I'm definitely a fan and can't wait to see what's next!  The rest of the week's schedule though is alternating "Crazy 8's" with "You Got This" so I guess I'll be focusing more on perfecting my moves before I learn a new dance, but today really made me a believer that this program is fun and different.  I was a big fan of zumba, but this is more like dance class. Instead of doing multiple repetitive dances, you're learning a more complex dance the entire time. 

Apparently I was supposed to do 8 count abs as well today!  oops!  Next time!
