2nd round of Crazy 8's was a bit more difficult today! Phew! BUT...I am a fan!!!! Memories of dance team and our hip-hop routine came flooding back! :)
So fun! I realized today that this routine is kind of the intro one to the whole program to teach you several of the moves that will be used in the future routines. I actually think it's a bit more difficult than the 2nd routine! There's one move where you kick your right leg for a count of 8 holding all of your weight on the left leg- after several rounds...left thigh burning! Towards the end though I felt like I really got the dance down and was starting to have fun with it! I think mom was too! If anyone reads this maybe I'll give you all a recital some time haha. How cool would it be to be in one of Shaun T's videos?!? More practice needed before that!

Another great thing I figured out is that after the work-out finishes and the menu pops up, in addition to completing the cooldown, you can also "cize it up" again! This is almost 4min more of repeating the routine you learned full-out to whatever popular song he's put the routine to. SO EXCITED about this!
I'm on vacation right now so as I mentioned it's been hard to keep up with the meal plan. Once I get back into my full-time work routine and not eating out so much I think things will get easier to stick too, but I'll lose my dancing buddy (mom). :(
However, since I've gotten mom involved, we've tried several of the recipes from the new Fixate cookbook.
I'm thinking I might add reviews of these 21 Day Fix recipes and others I find as I go along. There's so many out there- good thing because a chicken breast and side of broccoli is hard to make myself eat no matter how hard I try to tell myself how good it is for me! Variety (and chocolate!) please! Stay tuned for this...as I mentioned...1st blog!
